Tulsi and ginger tea
Ginger for nausea is one of the better-evidenced herbal uses there is.
Wellness
Cosmetics, digestion, a healthy immune system and food energy through herbal and alpha foods.
India has one of the longest continuous herbal traditions on earth, and much of it is sound: tulsi, ginger, turmeric, neem, ajwain, methi. These have been in kitchens for centuries because they work well enough, often enough, to have stayed.
They make food taste of something, which matters more than it sounds - people eat more vegetables when the vegetables are worth eating. Several have genuine anti-inflammatory and digestive effects. Ginger for nausea has decent clinical evidence behind it. Ajwain and jeera for a heavy stomach are backed by long, consistent everyday use.
First, herbal does not mean inert. Anything strong enough to help is strong enough to interact. St John's wort interferes with a long list of prescriptions. Ashwagandha affects thyroid medication. Liquorice raises blood pressure. Tell your doctor what you are taking, in the same breath as your prescriptions.
Second, unregulated preparations are genuinely risky. Independent testing has repeatedly found heavy metals in some unbranded traditional preparations. Buy from established makers, keep the packaging, and treat a seller who will not name their ingredients as a seller to walk away from.
