Prescription Upload
Send a prescription across and let the pharmacy come back to you.
Sending a prescription ahead saves a wasted trip, which matters most for exactly the people for whom a trip is hardest - the elderly, the unwell, and anyone managing a long-term condition.
How to send one well
Photograph it flat, in good daylight, with all four corners in frame and the doctor's name, registration number and date legible. Include the whole page - the dosage instructions are usually the part that gets cut off, and they are the part that matters most.
What a pharmacy must still do
A registered pharmacist has to verify the prescription before dispensing. Schedule H and H1 medicines - which include most antibiotics and sedatives - legally require a valid prescription and a record of the sale. A service that skips this is breaking the law and putting you at risk, not doing you a favour.
A pharmacy willing to skip the prescription for you is a pharmacy willing to skip it for everyone.
Look after the paper
A prescription carries your name, your condition and your doctor's details. Send it to pharmacies you have chosen deliberately, not to numbers forwarded on WhatsApp. Keep the original - repeat prescriptions and insurance claims both need it.
